Eye Disorders

Eye Disorders

Eye disorders are numerous and service connection can be obtained for most conditions except refractive error. Refractive eye error is poor vision that causes you to need glasses. Typical situations involve glaucoma, scleritis, retinopathy, maculopathy, detached retina, eye injuries, uveitis, iritis, cyclitis, choroidopathy or other acquired conditions of the eye. Sometimes, in service eye symptoms can be the early signs of other forms of disease that are diagnosed later, after service. Examples include Reiter’s Syndrome or Sarcoidosis.

If you suffered an eye injury or disease as a result of service and VA had denied you claim, then you are invited to contact our veterans disability lawyers to discuss how we may be able to help.
